Dr. Chesin, Professor, William Paterson University, New Jersey, is a psychologist and researcher with over 20 years of experience. She is an expert in the assessment and treatment of suicidal behavior. She provides expert witness, speaking, and consultation services. Dr. Chesin is a certified psychological autopsy investigator.

Dr. Chesin has published over 50 journal articles and book chapters, served as the keynote speaker at multiple state suicide prevention conferences, and appeared as a panelist on mindfulness and mental health for the Veterans Affairs Office of Rural Health and the Interagency Veterans Advisory Council. She received the 2016 Young Investigator Award from the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention, is a consulting editor to Archives of Suicide Research, and is a Scientific Advisor to the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention.

Speak on suicide risk assessment, suicide prevention, mindfulness-based intervention, Veteran and military personnel mental health, as well as social media, opioid use and mental health.

Consultation

Provide training and consultation to systems and individuals on the management of suicidal individuals.
